Paul Sundermier | Paul Sundermier was born in Riverside on December 18, 1922 to Grover and Marcella Sundermier; brother of Cecil Sundermier. The family lived on Rancocas Avenue in Delanco in 1940. Paul joined the US Army Air Corps during WWII and served in the 54th Troop Carrier Squadron. He received the Soldier's Medal for saving lives in an airplane crash in the Alaskan wilderness. After the war, he lived in Bridgeboro, where he raised his family with Genevieve, his wife of forty-seven years, He worked as a machinist on the early space program and later retired from the Campbell Soup Company, Moorestown, NJ. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Delran and had been a volunteer firefighter with the Delran Twp. F.D. Genieve died in 1992. Paul moved to Las Cruces and lived for many years with his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mike Lieberman. Paul passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at age 85. A memorial service and interment was held at the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery Chapel, Arneytown, NJ.
